I was thrilled to join this Creative Conversation at the Norton Simon Museum, alongside their exhibition “Dear Little Friend.” Their previous Galka Scheyer show in 2017 introduced me to the work of this pathbreaking German art dealer, and I have been fascinated with her ever since. After more than two years of research and writing, it was tremendously exciting to speak with Curator Gloria Williams Sander and Education Director Anna Schwarz about my process of engaging with Scheyer’s life and voice, and to perform excerpts from my play-in-progress.
