Intensive sessions yield valuable insights
I was pleased to be invited to Stowe Story Labs in June 2026 to develop my feature screenplay “Authentic.” After a long but scenic train ride north, I joined a community of other writers and top industry mentors for the four-day program to develop projects, skills, and strategies to advance our work. My goal was to leave the program with a clear direction for my next rewrite, and to build warm connections with like-minded colleagues. I’d call it successful on both fronts. After four days of pitching to colleagues and mentors, giving and receiving notes from peers, and squeezing in an early hike on a non-rainy morning, I was talked out, full of new ideas, and ready to return home. Although my evening flight out of Burlington VT was canceled, I was fortunate to be stranded with the best possible people: fellow female film producers. We found hotel rooms, buddied up, and enjoyed our extra adventure. Now I’m back home, digging deeply into that next rewrite.
